The process of creating the Lipoprotein (a) graphic recording was broadcasted live during Lipids Awareness Week 2024.

Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is an often overlooked risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Despite its clinical importance, public awareness remains low, and understanding the complex medical jargon associated with this biomarker can be a challenge.

Changi General Hospital’s (CGH) Lipids & Lipoprotein(a) Awareness Week (2024 & 2025) sought to make this crucial information more accessible, but distilling complex lipidology concepts into something the general public could grasp — and act upon — was no small feat.

Made For Good partnered up with Dr. Loh Wann Jia (Senior Consultant, Endocrinology) and Changi General Hospital — to transform their expertise on cholesterol and LP(a) into compelling graphics for the public.

Changi General Hospital’s (CGH) Lipids & Lipoprotein(a) Awareness Week (2024 & 2025) sought to make this crucial information more accessible, but distilling complex lipidology concepts into something the general public could grasp — and act upon — was no small feat.

Made For Good partnered up with Dr. Loh Wann Jia (Senior Consultant, Endocrinology) and Changi General Hospital — to transform their expertise on cholesterol and LP(a) into compelling graphics for the public.

Our illustrations broke down lipids and Lp(a) into a way that made sense at a glance — what it is, why it matters, and what treatments exist.

Central to this was the L.I.L.A.C. method, a structured five-step approach emphasising lifestyle changes, medical investigations, targeted lipid-lowering therapy, and more.

Our illustrations also introduced and explained the newest lipid-lowering medications to patients and the public, to encourage conversations between individuals and their doctors or care teams about how best to control their lipid levels.

Furthermore, we developed our illustrations into informative brochures, for patients and public to take home, and bring to their future doctor's consults to better discuss the management of their lipids.
